Undecided, but the further GW goes to make players more valuable for spending hours grinding, the further my answer moves toward "No!" My furthest character is still only at the third level of lightbringer. Maxing this on multiple characters is out of the question. When you combine this with new areas like DoA where every percent of damage you can do is more likely to get you into a group, Guild Wars looses some of the elements that first drew me to the game.

Not only will I buy GW:4, but I will be preordering it, too. If GW is so bad, welcome to World of Grind or Ever Crack.

hint: if youre unable to design an effective build for your heroes to use, then it probably is best that you whine, cry and rage uninstall.

EVE is far superior to either of those I'm resisting the temptation to go back and be a pirate again..the money I made in GW is nothing compared to the moeny I have in EVE.

Anyways..I said I wouldn't buy Factions but I did..then I found out they dumped the beta version of AB battles to the new shit system...got to Aberstone then quit in disgust.

Hey Admin Bane, long time no see.

I don't know, i haven't really tried that hard to beat Nightfall. Been stuck on Gate of Pain for so long and don't feel like wasting my time beating it. Who knows, maybe Chapter 4 will introduce something fun for Guild Wars players?

That actually looks like fun or a nice change from GW. Been a while since I've played a game like that, they can be fun if done right.

"In your first spring, you'll learn the basics of milking and caring for your cow".

"In your off-hours, hang out at the Blue Bar, enjoying Griffin's energy-restoring concoctions, or head up to the villa to visit Romana, her granddaughter Lumina and loyal butler Sebastian."

"Pluck flowers and offer them to just about everyone you meet;"

"But even with horsey's help, you'll still have to spend hours (in game time, that is) watering and fertilizing your crops. "

I wish I could just say 'yes' or 'no', but it's a bit more involved than that.

These games are somewhat rushed (well, Factions was WAYYYYYY rushed, NF is only somewhat rushed), and as such, it's about halfway though until the next game is released that these games are as intended. So, I only feel like I really get a few months to enjoy a game as it should be. That's not enough time. Plus, I get new professions each chapter, and I'd prefer to take them through the previous two games, to enjoy them from a different perspective, and to just enjoy them again.

Now, if Ch 4 is made by the same team who made Ch 2, that's a HUGE strike against it. Factions more or less blew.

Another factor is this: I'm about fed up with several issues that just won't go away:

1. The no reconnects (which revalidates Anerf's laziness (yes I'll say it again even if Gaile did call me out on it), as well as their continued acknowledgments that this is at the top of what players are begging for, and that they are still 'working on it')
2. The pathetic no in-game trade system, couple with the insanity it requires to buy or sell something (as in spamming and jumping towns and dealing with window shoppers and haggling)
3. Storage issues. This gets tighter with each chapter, two where I have to leave lots of good drops on the ground every time I hit an explorable area. Anerf will simply not give in to this, and my suspicion is that they want people buying multiple keys for their extra 'storage'

So, I might buy Ch 4, but probably not right away, until either it proves to be a righteous game (unlikely due to it being made by the Factions turd team), or until my previous 3 issues are solved, or until I totally play out the first 3 and am bored with them

I am not sure either possibly it depends on my alliance and guild as for the next chapter if it went back to the time when you could skip missions to get to the end game faster. Then there is the AI to think about as I enjoy solo or duel play along with someone else in high end areas as well as an improved drop rate.I would prefer the missions go back to that of the way they were in Proph. as not being timed with the avialbe option of doing the bonus.

And this is why Gaile hardly ever responds to such rants as yours. Even when she explains the why and how, children like you won't take her word for it and continue the tirade. And people yell at her for not responding to their complaints...

Thanks Loviatar for the links, i might go try them out for fun.

On topic:

I probably posted this else where but here is a good place as any to say it:

Fun not Frustration.

That is the fundamental emphasis for games. Nightfall does some of this well with the wurms for example which was interesting, fresh and fun until we enter the Realm of Torment.....

Btw where was the "flesh" level we were told about pre release? I even saw the art for it on the Art book. I hope it wasnt the Gate of Pain...which made me felt like i was travelling within someones lower intestines....

I will most likely buy the next chapter.
Reason: I love the way the game is played. The game isn't based on superior levels (very much) eg. Level 20 isn't much better than level 17, besides more HP. The game isn't complicated *points at Neverwinter Nights* (make one stupid mistake on NWN and your character's screwed). I have only a few things which diminish my undying loyalty to Guild Wars:
>Profecies was awesome, the setting was constantly changing, as did your enemies (charr->stone summit->undead->white mantle/mursaat->lich and titans). But Factions went 2 steps back. The setting changed quite well, almost on par with Profecies. The enemies though not so much
(throughout the whole story you basically had one MAJOR enemy, shiro and his minions, nothing else at all, keep in mind i said MAJOR enemies). Then comes Nightfall, the much anticipated 14 steps back from Profecies (I'm sure your all laughing but I'm serious). I don't know what everyone else likes to do in their spare time, but I'd rather like to stare at something other than sand/dirt, and the occasional tree or blade of grass. TWO setting changes is all I saw (Sandy Istan and Kourna->Vabbian Sand+castles/temples->Realm of Torment). Major Enemies: Abaddon's minions, kournans, Shiro & Lich kind of (please don't reuse bosses who already had their *censored kicked). I'm probably missing some I flew through Nightfall.
>Armor (WTH!), the only possible way to get the high end armor is farming (dun!dun!dun!). Yes, I am be selfish, arrogant. But this armor has annoyed me to no end! How am I supposed to get this high end armor (15k) without farming? I'd much rather do an interesting, yet highly challenging quest/mission to recieve this armor, rather than kill the same monsters over and over and over again to raise enough money so that I can get armor which gives absolutely no benefit except for looks (which are awesome). If you were to make these 15k armor sets better than the 1.5k armor sets then I would consider killing the same monsters constantly to get myself a set. If you haven't figured it out yet I hate farming.

Please before you flame me, consider my opinions from my point of view. I don't care if my ideas are implemented or not. These are only 2 things that tick me off, there are more, but I don't want to bore anyone who reads this to death.

Gaile's reponse to an idiot saying Anet is being lazy about reconnects:

We are working on it.
We will continue to work on it.
We will add it, as soon as we have it developed, tested, and proved.

But please, be fair: Don't denigrate the team with silly comments that are 100% inaccurate.

No.

I've bought all 3 chapters thus far, and they have all been good fun. However, I feel the chapters are too incremental. It is essentially the same game, so it's hard to avoid the feeling of "been there, done that." I had the choice of buying Nightfall or NWN2, and I picked NightFall. Now, I feel NWN2 would have been much more value for my $50 (although I agree that NF was arguably the best among all chapters). Unless the next episode offers dramatic changes over what we're all familiar with, I will spend my $50 on some other fresh game.

It's been good fun, but I've had enough. Been there, done that.

Makes me wonder sometimes why such folks keeps answering to these 'ranting' posts. Even when the whole lot tries to explain through their 'somewhat negative' opinions on why they are feeling increasing negativity about the game, children like the former just won't take the latters' word for it and keeps on responding with the same type of answers.

Yes.

I played EQ2 and WOW and nothing compares to GW to me.

The game might have changed, but that's what happens in the world. Nothing ever stays the same and you have to go with the flow.

I think a lot of the people complaining just want a different game. The reason GW is different is because it limits you. You're challenged by 8 skill slots, limited storage space, etc. Makes you rethink priorities and reconsider what is really important.

When I start hoarding things I try to think about what would happen if my account got hacked. I would be peeeeved, but I'd get over the things I lost, because they are just pixels. It helps me to get rid of things that I don't really need, but am just keeping for the sake of it.

Most of the other complaints people make are already being addressed by ANet. Learn to be patient.

I found Nightfall to be great. Myself and my friend went through the entire storyline with 6 heroes. We only failed 2 missions. Once because we didn't read the boxes and the other time because we kept attacking from the wrong direction. Every other mission we got masters the first time around. It was challenging, but not difficult.

I am very happy with Guild Wars, even if some things annoy me sometimes. After playing other pay-to-play mmos, GW is just fantastic. Nothing compares!

I'm very unsure as of now. Had fun running through all 3 campaigns with my only warrior, early days there were always people in outpost doing missions and such..
Now, my favourite part in factions, "Fortaspenwood", is neary impossible to play. No people, totally deserted, factions is like a dead place, "could" be because of NF's player shift.

If buying of the new chapter is the only way to meet enough people to play with, i don't think i'll get chap 4.

As such, Replay Value of Gw has fallen to a new low for me, as i wanted a CO-OP rpg, not a bot frenzy game.
